'TIPS EDGE BLAZERS 3-2 IN OT

The Silvertips scored all three of their goals on the powerplay - including Zach Hamill's winner in OT - as they edged the Blazers 3-2. Kyle Beach and Dan Gendur staked the home side to a 2-0 lead by the 8-minute mark of the second period before Travis Dunstall converted on a 5-on-3 midway through period two to cut the lead to 2-1. The Blazers forced overtime on Brock Nixon's shorthanded, extra-attacker goal with 1.2 seconds to play in regulation. Everett was 3-for-8 on the PP while the Blazers were 1-for-7. THUNDERBIRDS CLAIM ONE-GOAL VICTORY

After a scoreless first period, Jeremy Boyer got the goal scoring underway with a late second-period powerplay goal. Early in the third, the Blazers tied the game as Juuso Puustinen's shot off the left-wing boards worked its way past Riku Helenius...only to have Shappert score the winner 2-and-a-half minutes later. After falling behind 2-0 two minutes in, the Blazers rattled off four straight powerplay goals en route to a 4-3 lead after 40 minutes.
