The K-Wings will continue their three-game home stand with the middle-leg this Friday, January 16th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Cincinnati Cyclones on Smitten with the Mitten Night, presented by Kalsee Credit Union. The first 1,000 fans to the Friday night's game will receive a FREE Sam Ftorek Cup courtesy of Kalsee Credit Union. This Friday will also be a 3, 2, 1 Countdown to Fun!, featuring $3 beer, $2 Pepsi products and $1 hot dogs. The K-Wings are 3-3-0-0 against the Cyclones, who begin the week in third place (15-13-0-4, 34 points) in the North Division.

The K-Wings will begin a home-and-home series with the Fort Wayne Komets at Wings Stadium this Saturday, January 17th at 7:30 p.m. on Big Brothers Big Sisters Night presented by Schupan & Sons Inc. Saturday night fans will also get to meet and pictures will the 501st Garrison on Star Wars Night. This will be the eighth meeting of the season between the K-Wings and the Komets.

Kalamazoo will conclude the week on Sunday, January 18th with a 5 p.m. encounter against Fort Wayne at Allen County Memorial Coliseum. Sunday will begin a three-game road swing for the Kalamazoo. The K-Wings are 1-5-0-1 against the Komets, who begin the week in first place (26-6-1-2, 55 points) in the North Division.

TOLEDO- Last Friday's game against the Toledo Walleye was postponed due to severe weather and travel conditions around the Kalamazoo area.
Friday, January 2nd Vs Cincinnati Cyclones (Kalamazoo 5-Cincinnati 3)
KALAMAZOO- Last Saturday it was 200 area children from the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and the K-Wings Kidz Club that made the Wings Stadium ice into the largest art canvas; one week later it was Kalamazoo Wings goaltender Joel Martin that had a masterpiece of his own. Earning 29 saves, Martin rewrote K-Wings ECHL history by recording his sixth all-time shutout in a 3-0 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones during Kids Paint the Ice Night presented by the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.
