
Fort Wayne's Will Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Roman Will of the Fort Wayne Komets is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 5-11.
Will went 1-0-1 with a 1.45 goals-against average and a save percentage of .962 in two games last week.
The 22-year-old stopped 39 shots in a 4-1 win at Greenville on Friday and made 37 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss against the Road Warriors on Saturday.
A native of Litomerice, Czech Republic, Will is 3-1-2 in six appearances with the Komets this season with a 2.57 goals-against average and a save percentage of .927. He has also seen action in 11 games with Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
Under contract with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League, Will is in his first season of pro hockey in North America. Last season, he appeared in 20 games with Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic where we went 16-4-0 with a 1.84 goals-against average. During the 2011-12 season, he played with Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he was named to the QMJHL First All-Star Team with a 29-25-7 record, a 2.77 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
