Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce the completion of a trade with the Ontario Reign.

Kalamazoo will receive defenseman Jon A. Landry from Ontario for forward Sal Peralta.

A three-year pro, Landry began the season with the Cincinnati Cyclones and played one game in the American Hockey League with the Rochester Americans. In early November, Landry was traded from Cincinnati to Ontario.

In 18 games, with the Reign, Landry was +2 with six points (3 goals, 3 assists).

Landry also spent 21 games last season in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch.

Ironically, this will be the second Jon Landry the K-Wings will have had on their roster. In training camp, Kalamazoo welcomed a different Landry, who spelled his name the same way.

In return for Landry, Kalamazoo will send Peralta to the Reign. Peralta posted 15 points (4 goals, 11 assists) in 19 games for the K-Wings.

Kalamazoo returns to the ice tonight as they face-off against the Toledo Walleye at 7:30 p.m. on Star Wars Night at Wings Stadium.

Besides being encouraged to dress as their favorite Stars Wars character, fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with characters from the movie. In total, nearly 20 characters from the Star Wars movies will be represented thanks to the 501st Legion costuming group. Fans will also have the opportunity to participate in a Blaster Range in Hospitality Hall. The interactive exhibits can be done for a $1 donation with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Single-game tickets for any regular season home game are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
