June 27, 2011 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Kinston Indians News Release
Great Start to The Second Half - The K-Tribe is off to their best second half start in more than eight years, going to 4-0 after sweeping Salem this weekend and winning the first game against Potomac. The K-Tribe started the 2004 season with a 10 game win streak. Kinston started the second half last season 0-3 after getting swept at Salem.
Let's Go Streaking - Kinston is on a six game win streak, their longest of the season. It's the best start to a half for the K-Tribe since the team reeled off ten wins to begin the 2004 campaign. Kinston won nine straight from 8/25-9/02 last season.
On A Roll - Since the K-Tribe lost back-to-back games May 15th and 16th, the team has reeled off 28 wins and nine losses. That stretch has also included wins in 10 of 11 series. Kinston is one game shy of the league's best record - both Myrtle Beach and Frederick sit one game better than the K-Tribe at 43-30.
