
K-Tribe Celebrates Cinco De Maya and Much More

Kinston, NC -- The Salem Avalanche come to Kinston for a three day weekend series. The K-Tribe won two out of three the last time these two teams met. The weekend starts with a bang on Friday with a post game fireworks show and ends with a Pepsi Family Fun Day. Here is a look at what else is going on at Grainger Stadium this weekend:
Friday, May 5 - 7:00pm - The K-Tribe open this three game homestand with a bang! Budweiser presents the second post game fireworks show of the year. Come early and watch some great baseball, stay late and see some of the best fireworks in Eastern North Carolina.
Saturday, May 6 - 7:00pm - Tonight marks the return of Freedom Newspaper Night at Grainger Stadium. Freedom Newspaper has been running advertisements and coupons for this game all week. Find a coupon and get a free General Admission ticket or upgrade to reserved for just $1. Also, all nurses get a $3 ticket with their badge or credentials as the K-Tribe takes part in National Nurse's Recognition.
Sunday, May 7 - 2:00pm - The jam packed homestand ends with a jam packed Sunday. Today marks the first of two Little League games at Grainger Stadium. The K-Tribe invites all youth baseball and softball players to wear their jerseys and get in for free. It is also Relay for Life day at the ballpark. All teams and participants in the Lenoir County Relay for Life are invited to the game to help raise money and awareness for the cancer cause. Lenoir County's Relay for Life is May 12th and 13th at Kinston High School. And like always, Sunday is a Pepsi Family Fun Day. Two proofs of Pepsi purchase and $5 gets a family of four into the game.
