
Justin Shugg Named the Spitfires Academic Player of the Month for January

(Windsor) Prior to commencement of the Thursday, February 12th Spitfire home game versus the Sarnia Sting, Justin Shugg was recognized as the Windsor Spitfires Academic Player of the Month for January as part of a special pre-game presentation.
Shugg, a 17 year-old student at St. Anne's High School in Lakeshore, ON was selected as the recipient of this award for positive performances within and outside of the classroom.
For his achievement, Justin received a special plaque from John Laporte and Dennis Gignac, Spitfire Academic Advisors. Additionally, he was named to the Windsor Spitfires and University of Windsor Lancers' Academic All-Star Team. Windsor Lancers' Head Coach Kevin Hamlin also presented Justin with a special award from the University of the Windsor.
