
Juniors Take Bite out of Huskies

The Montreal Juniors got out to an early lead and never looked back as they beat the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-1 Thursday night in Rouyn-Noranda.
Trevor Parkes continued his recent hot streak with another two goal performance for the Juniors. Other Montreal goal scorers were Louis Leblanc, Charles Landry and Matt Prevost, who registered his first goal of the season.
The lone goal for the Huskies was scored by Jessyko Bernard.
Etienne Marcoux picked up the win for Montreal as he turned aside 24 of the 25 shots he faced. Robin Gusse took the loss for Rouyn-Noranda as he was peppered by 32 shots from the Juniors.
NOTES - Montreal finishes up it's northwestern Quebec swing with a game tomorrow night in Val d'Or before returning home to face the Halifax Mooseheads Sunday afternoon at the Verdun Auditorium with a game time of 3:05pm.
