
Juniors Fall to Shawinigan

The Montreal Junior lost only their fifth game in regulation with a 3-2 loss to Shawinigan Friday night at the Verdun Auditorium.
A third period goal with 4:01 left to play by Yannick Veilleux lifted Shawinigan to the victory. Montreal was paced by Denis Kindl and Trevor Parkes with a goal each. Shawinigan's two other goals came off the sticks of Dominik Schlumpf and Benjamin Casavant.
Shawinigan goalie Gabriel Girard turned aside 42 of 44 shots by Montreal, while JF Berube faced 30 shots from Shawinigan.
NOTES: Montreal continues it's homestand Sunday at 3:05pm versus Drummondville.
