Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce that they'll be hitting the road to Drumheller on Saturday, May 31 for the 2014 edition of Junior Stamps Camp.

The club's rookie players along with president Gordon Norrie, head coach and general manager John Hufnagel, members of the Outriders cheer team and Ralph the Dog will be headed to Dinosaur Valley.

The players will meet kids from the Drumheller area and run them through a series of football drills on the field at Drumheller Valley Secondary School. Afterwards, there will be an autograph session.

The event will help raise awareness and funds for KidSport Drumheller, an organization dedicated to ensuring all youngsters are able to break through financial barriers and participate in organized sports.

"The Junior Stamps Camp is a great way for us to connect with our fans outside of Calgary," said Norrie. "It's going to be a very enjoyable day for both the kids and the team and we're thrilled that proceeds from the event will go to a worthy cause such as KidSport."

The Stampeders have a longstanding relationship with KidSport, starting with a skills camp that was held annually in Calgary and now with the Junior Stamps Camp program in other Alberta communities. Previous stops have included Medicine Hat and Lethbridge.
