Bombers Add Three to Training Camp Roster

WINNIPEG, MB., May 28, 2014 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the additions of import defensive back Daivon Dumas, and import offensive linemen Quentin Saulsberry and Jesse Peterson.

Dumas (6-1, 180, Northern Arizona, August 13, 1989 in Laguna Niguel, CA ) played four seasons at Northern Arizona, where his senior season of 2011 saw him record 18 tackles. He was hurt in 2010, and in 2009 he started all 11 games, finished fourth on the team in tackles with 56, and five pass deflections. He also recorded three tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, one fumble forced and one blocked kick.

Saulsberry (6-2, 304, Mississippi State, October 14, 1988, in Memphis, Tennessee) was with the Bombers earlier this offseason, including attending the club's Florida mini-camp. He spent last season with the New Orleans Voodoo of the Arena Football League. Saulsberry was with the Denver Broncos for the 2012 season on the club's practice squad, and also had a stint with Los Angeles of the AFL.

He played his college football at Mississippi State, starting the majority of his games there after his redshirt season. He initially started at right tackle, but was moved to left guard in his sophomore year. His senior season saw him start all 13 games, nine at right guard and four at center. He earned All-SEC Honorable Mention by the Associated Press, and played in the 2012 East-West Shrine Game.

Peterson (6-1, 286, Wheaton College, December 14, 1990 in Grand Rapids, MI) appeared in eight games as a regular starter at offensive tackle in his senior year of 2011, helping an offense that averaged 34.5 points per game. He then spent time in the Arena League with New Orleans prior to signing in Winnipeg .
