Cincinnati and Louisville meet again in crucial Midwest Division showdown

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats attempt to pick up their second win of the season and snap a season-high, five-game losing streak against the Louisville Fire this Saturday at 7:30pm from U.S. Bank Arena. The Kats (1-9) sit at the bottom of the Midwest Division while the Fire (5-5) is in a fight for a playoff spot. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a "Beat Louisville" t-shirt. The Kats and Fire meet for the second time in the 2007 regular season. The Fire won the first meeting by a 61-54 final score at Freedom Hall in Louisville. In that game, Kats wide receiver Derin Graham caught three TD's while James Lewis hauled in a pair of catches for 59 yards and a score.

The Jungle Kats will be playing their first home game since the return of two of their most efficient players. Wide receiver Derin Graham and defensive back Demetrius McCray returned to the lineup last week against Albany and made immediate impacts. Graham caught 2 TD passes and hauled in 125 yards while McCray led the team in pass breakups with 3 in a losing effort.

For the Jungle Kats to claim victory tonight against Louisville, they will have to cool off one of the af2's hottest ball carriers. Fire FB Demetrius Forney is averaging an af2 6th best 22.6 yards per game, while his team leads the league in overall rushing offense - averaging 41.4 rushing yards per game. Cincinnati's rush defense will have to improve from their 24th best defense in that category if they are to succeed tonight.
