NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: Tonight's doubleheader with the Kannapolis Intimidators (Chicago White Sox) has been postponed. The continuation of Friday's game will start at 12:05 tomorrow, Sunday June 9th and the 2nd game of the doubleheader to follow 30 minutes after. Gates will open at 11 a.m.
The Intimidators had a 1-0 lead as we entered the bottom of the 2nd inning on Friday, but the rain halted the action. Tonight's doubleheader provided more rain, and because of it, the 2nd game will be cancelled, meaning the GreenJackets will play 139 games, instead of 140 in the regular season.
While the first inning of tomorrows game will still be nine-innings, Game #2 of the doubleheader will be a seven-inning affair between the GreenJackets and Intimidators.
Fans with tickets for tonight's game can exchange them for any other game during the 2019 schedule EXCEPT for the July 4th game at SRP Park.
