Leading Minnesota in scoring for the fifth time this season, Kayla McBride finished the night with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting, marking her seventh game this season scoring 10+ points. McBride added four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

With her first shot from deep of the night, McBride eclipsed 400 career made three-pointers, becoming the sixth fastest player in WNBA history to hit the 400th mark in 235 games behind Diana Taurasi (158), Katie Smith (174) and Maya Moore (204), Crystal Robinson (216) and Nicole Powell (226). She becomes the 24th player to reach the feat of all-time in the league.

In 23:58 minutes of action, Sylvia Fowles tallied her 12th game this season scoring in double figures, finishing with 10 points on 5-of-7 from the field, six boards and one steal.

With her only steal of the night, Fowles passed Rebekkah Brunson for fourth all-time steals in Lynx history with 268. Fowles is just one steal shy from passing Seimone Augustus for third all-time. The all-time top four includes:

Scoring in double-figures for the second consecutive game (eighth this season), Aerial Powers finished the game with 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. Powers shot 5-of-6 from the line, making her 32-of-37 (86.5 percent) from the line in the last five games.

Jessica Shepard led Minnesota on the boards for the fourth time this season, finishing with seven rebounds. In a team-high 28:18 minutes of action, Shepard added nine points, two assists and one steal.

Team Notes

Minnesota held New York to just 17 second quarter points, tying the opponent season low second quarter points (June 1 vs Atlanta Dream).

The Lynx dominated on in the paint points, collecting 38 to New York's 28. This season, the Lynx rank third league-wide, behind Los Angeles (510) and Connecticut (454), in the category with 434 points, led by Fowles who leads all players with 160 points in the paint this season.

Minnesota tallied 20 points to New York's eight in fastbreak points.

Minnesota's bench scored 22 points, led by Nikolina Milić's eight points on 2-of-6 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from the line.

The Lynx outrebounded the Liberty, 36-35 in tonight's game. In the season series between Minnesota and New York, the Lynx outrebounded the Liberty 117-108. Tonight, marked the third consecutive game in which Minnesota won on the glass and now holds the upper hand in the category on nine of their 12 starts this season.

Minnesota wrapped up its first series in the regular season against New York going 2-1. Overall, the Lynx hold an 29-22 advantage over the Liberty in history against each other.

As a team, the Lynx tallied a season-high 11 steals, six of which came off the bench (Kamiah Smalls, Evina Westbrook and Milić, two each), topping their previous high of nine (MR: May 17 vs Los Angeles Sparks)

The Lynx return to the Target Center for a three-game home stand, kicking off on Friday, June 10 against the Washington Mystics. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on Bally Sports North.

Liberty Notes

Sabrina Ionescu had a game-high 26 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the field (a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc), grabbed eight rebounds and had eight assists in 26:10 minutes of action.
