Lynx Notes

Sylvia Fowles finished with 12 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks. With her first block of the night, Fowles became the fourth player in WNBA history to tally 700 career blocks, joining a prestigious list of Margo Dyrek (877), Lisa Leslie (822) and Britney Griner (716).

Tonight's contest marked Fowles' 206th game for the Minnesota Lynx, passing Katie Smith (205) for fifth most games played in franchise history.

Kayla McBride finished with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and two steals. McBride also shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line, including draining three to tie the game with 7.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter, which tallied her 3500th career point.

In 25:46 minutes of action, Jessica Shepard tied the team-high adding 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. This marks her eighth 10+ scoring game of the season and second career game of 15 points and 5+ rebounds.

Team Notes

Minnesota's bench doubled Chicago's total bench points, 38-19, led by Shepard and Natalie Achonwa combining for 25 points.

On Tuesday, June 28, the Minnesota Lynx kickoff a six-game homestand which equals the longest homestretch in team history (also July 8-27, 2010). The Lynx will host Dallas Wings on Tuesday at 7:00 pm CT. The game will broadcast locally on Bally Sport North.

Courtney Vandersloot had a game-high 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field (4-of-7 from beyond the arc including the go-ahead three as time expired), six assists, five rebounds and one steal in a 29:07 minutes of action.
