Lynx Notes

For the 10th time this season, Kayla McBride led Minnesota in scoring, tallying 16 points on 7-of-19 shooting from the field. This marks McBride's 13th game where she registered 15+ points.

In 23:37 minutes off the bench, Jessica Shepard tallied her 10th game this season grabbing 10+ rebounds, finishing with 12 boards, seven assists and two points. She led in assists six times this season and has dished out at least 5 assists in six games.

In her 400th WNBA game, Sylvia Fowles finished with 12 rebounds (all defensive), nine points and one steal.

Team Notes

Minnesota held a 45-38 rebounding advantage over Washington and have outrebounded 20-of-27 opponents in the 2022 season. Thirty-eight of those rebounds came on the defensive end, to tie a season-high in defensive rebounds, which was also done on July 3 against Las Vegas.

The Lynx held Washington to 37.7% shooting from the field but fell to 140-6 when holding their opponent to 40% or less shooting since the beginning of 2011.

The Lynx return to Target Center on Friday, July 22 hosting Connecticut Sun for the first time this season. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 pm CT and will broadcast locally on Bally Sports North and nationally on NBA TV.

Mystics Notes

Elena Delle Donne led Washington with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steals in 28:01 minutes of action.
