Jr. StreetKings Registration Underway

The Mississippi RiverKings' season has come to an end, but the hockey action in the Mid-South has not.

Registration for the Jr. StreetKings' spring league has already started. The season begins in the first week of next month.

Parents can sign up their kids by surfing the Internet to www.jrstreetkings.com. They can find a registration form by clicking on the "Register" button on the left side of the Web site's home page. That next page has all of the necessary information.

Parents can make their checks payable to Jr. StreetKings. It costs 150 dollars to register a child, with a 25-dollar sibling discount for each additional one. Each team gets to practice once per week, play 10 games, and make the playoffs. Every player also gets a team jersey. The league ends in June.

All practices and games take place at the Jr. StreetKings Arena in Hernando. The roller rink has had recent major renovations. A pair of drop-off spots with bridges now allow the kids to cross over to the field safely. Spectators can now use bleachers on each end of the rink to watch the games.
