SteelHounds Add Amateur To Playoff Roster

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Youngstown SteelHounds Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski announced today that the team has signed forward Jimmy Russo to an amateur tryout.

Russo, 23, comes to Youngstown after finishing his four year career at Northeastern University where he was teammates with current SteelHound Steve Birnstill. The 6-0, 175-pound forward scored seven goals and six assists in 30 games this season for the Huskies. The South Weymouth, Massachusetts native accumulated 20 goals, 53 assists and 106 penalty minutes in 124 games during his college career.

The SteelHounds host the Colorado Eagles for game three of the Northern Conference Semifinals tonight at 7:05. The Hounds trail 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.
