Jr. RiverHawks advance to regional playoffs

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Jr. RiverHawks have qualified for the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) Sandy Koufax North Central Regional Playoffs. They earned a playoff berth by going 2-2 in the State Qualifier in Springfield last week.
The Jr. RiverHawks first playoff game is at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Road Ranger Stadium against Jackson, Mich.
The winner of that game will play either the Michigan Direct Grand Blanc Cats, or the Illiana Indiana Saints at 10 a.m. on Thursday at The Complex. Grand Blanc and Illiana open the regional playoffs at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Road Ranger Stadium.
Road Ranger Stadium will also host two consolation games on Thursday morning.
The winner of the 10-team regional playoff advances to the AABC World Series in Arizona.
