
Jr. Blues Fall to Ice Dogs

The Jr. Blues fell to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, in the first game of the weekend set, by the score of 3-1.
The Ice Dogs gained the lead by scoring two goals in the first period and holding the Jr. Blues scoreless. Both teams were held scoreless in the second period, giving the game a 2-0 score going into the third. In the the third period, Sam Scraggs found the back of the net off assists from Josh Bell and Matt Long to cut the Fairbanks lead to 2-1. Fairbanks then scored a power play goal to push the score to 3-1 which woul dbe the games final.
Tommy Nappier had 19 saves in the loss.
The same two teams play again Saturday to finish up the weekend set.
