Lincoln, Neb. - Grant Jozefek was named to Team USA for the World Junior A Challenge to be held from Dec. 13-19, USA Hockey announced on Tuesday.

Hockey Canada will host the six-team tournament in Cobourg and Whitby, Ontario. The teams will include players under 20 years old, representing Canada East, Canada West, the United States, Russia, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

This will mark the first time the Chester, N.J. native has represented the United States in international competition.

"You always want to represent your country in any way possible so it's definitely a special feeling to be recognized," Jozefek said. "I'm happy to be a part of the team."

The Team USA 20-man roster is made entirely of USHL players.

"It's cool to get the opportunity and have the chance to win something with the better players in the league," Jozefek said.

The United States will open preliminary play against the Czech Republic on Dec. 14 and Canada West on Dec. 15.

The Stars return to the Ice Box on Friday, November 20 to take on the Youngstown Phantoms. For tickets and more information log on to lincolnstars.com.
