Josef Martínez Ranks No. 6 on List of MLS' Top-Selling Player Jerseys for 2023

Inter Miami CF striker Josef Martínez ranks No. 6 on the list of MLS' top-selling player jerseys on MLSstore.com for the 2023 season. Martínez has ranked in the Top 10 of best-selling jerseys since he joined Major League Soccer in 2017, with 2023 marking his seventh year on the list.

The Venezuelan goalscorer was signed by Inter Miami in January, 2023 ahead of the Club's fourth season in the league after six seasons with Atlanta United. In 2023, Martinez became the fastest player in MLS history to score 100 regular season goals, reaching the mark in just 142 matches. His 100th goal came against his former Club, Atlanta United.

Martínez compiled an extensive list of accomplishments ahead of joining the Club. Notably, he was named to the MLS Best XI each of his first three seasons in the league, an All-Star in 2018 and 2019, and was named Landon Donovan MLS MVP and led Atlanta to an MLS Cup title in 2018 as the MLS Cup MVP. He also helped guide the team to U.S. Open Cup and Campeones Cup titles in 2019, won MLS golden boot with 31 goals in 2018, won MLS Goal of the Year in 2019 and 2022, and holds the league's all-time hat trick record with six and single-season mark with three (2017 and 2018).

On the international level, the Valencia, Venezuela native has represented La Vinotinto 62 times, netting 14 goals and notching three assists. He has featured for the team in three editions of the CONMEBOL Copa América, World Cup qualifiers, and international friendlies.

Martínez joins good company as LAFC forward, Carlos Vela finds himself atop the list. Nashville SC midfielder Hany Mukhtar and defender Walker Zimmerman sit second and third on the list respectively, while LA Galaxy striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández and Seattle Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris round out the top five. Sixteen different countries are represented (determined by birthplace) on the list, and Martínez is the lone representative from Venezuela.
