Jose Siri Walks It off with 3-Run Homer for Space Cowboys

(SUGAR LAND, Texas) - Jose Siri has feasted on Pacific Coast League pitching since being optioned to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in late June and hit his biggest homer of the year Thursday night at Constellation Field.

Siri sent the Space Cowboys home with a 6-3 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas, delivering a three-run walk-off home run.

Over his eight games with the Space Cowboys, Siri has hit .333 (12x36) with three doubles, two triples, five home runs and 14 RBI.

Siri's walk-off homer was the third of the season for the Space Cowboys, joining David Hensley (6/21) and Alex De Goti (6/26).

The Space Cowboys got out in front in the fifth on an RBI single from Enmanuel Valdez. El Paso countered with two in its half of the sixth, but the Space Cowboys re-took the lead in the bottom half on an RBI single from Siri and RBI double from Lewis Brinson.

Brinson finished the night 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles to go with the RBI. Over his last three games, Brinson has hit .538 (7x13) with three doubles, a triple, a home run and six RBI. Brinson is eighth in the PCL with a .564 slugging percentage.

Peter Solomon got the start and allowed two runs (none earned) through six innings of work. Solomon has logged six innings each of his last three starts, recording a 2.50 ERA (5 ER/18 IP) over that span.

Chad Donato allowed a run and struck out two batters through three innings of relief. Ronel Blanco, who received his third win of the year, tossed a scoreless 10th, picking up two strikeouts to help set up the walk-off win.

Brent Rooker led the El Paso offense, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.

The Space Cowboys and Chihuahuas meet for game four of their six-game series at 7:05 p.m. on Friday night at Constellation Field, with Brett Conine set to face Luke Westphal.
