Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers seek a third straight win when they continue their series against the Las Vegas Aviators at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on an 89ers Night. OKC will be wearing throwback jerseys and hats, paying homage to the team's identity from 1962-97...The series between the PCL's two division leaders is tied, 2-2. OKC leads the East Division by 3.5 games, while the Aviators lead the West Division by 4.0 games.

Last Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers hit four home runs, including two by Eddy Alvarez, as they evened their series against the Las Vegas Aviators with an 11-2 win Thursday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers scored four runs in the first inning on a RBI double by Michael Busch and three-run home run by James Outman. The Dodgers' lead extended to 6-0 in the second inning when Alvarez hit a two-run single. Oklahoma City pushed the lead to 9-0 via a solo home run by Alvarez in the fourth inning and a two-run homer by Jason Martin in the fifth inning. Las Vegas ended the shutout in the sixth inning with a two-run double to cut OKC's lead to 9-2. Alvarez hit his second homer of the night in the sixth inning and added a RBI single in the eighth inning to finish the scoring.

Today's Probable Pitchers: Garrett Cleavinger (0-1) is slated to open tonight's game and make his first start of the season and just the second start/opening assignment of his pro career...Cleavinger has posted two scoreless outings against the Aviators so far this series, striking five of the six batters he's faced. He finished the Dodgers' 10-7 win Wednesday for his first save since Sept. 3, 2017 with Double-A Reading...Cleavinger has made one prior start in his pro career, pitching one scoreless inning July 4, 2021 for the Los Angeles Dodgers at Washington...Cleavinger has split time between Los Angeles and OKC this season and was acquired by the Dodgers Dec. 29, 2020 as part of a three-team trade with Philadelphia and Tampa Bay.

Robbie Erlin (3-2) is scheduled to follow Cleavinger and serve as tonight's primary pitcher...He most recently started July 3 in El Paso, allowing a season-high eight runs and tying his season high with nine hits, including three home runs. He took the loss in the team's 12-2 defeat...Over his last three outings, Erlin has allowed 15 runs and 19 hits over 10.0 innings. Prior to June 23 he held opponents to three runs or less in six straight outings and to two runs or less five times during the stretch...The lefty has also made two appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season. He had his contract selected May 7 and pitched on back-to-back days May 8-9. He was designated for assignment May 11 and outrighted to OKC May 13...Erlin has appeared in 117 games (43 starts) in the Majors, primarily with San Diego, and was selected by Texas in the third round of the 2009 MLB Draft from Scotts Valley High School (Calif.)...Tonight is his first appearance against the Aviators since 2019 when he was playing with the El Paso Chihuahuas.

Against the Aviators: 2022: 2-2 2021: 4-7 All-time: 54-64 At OKC: 26-31

Oklahoma City and Las Vegas are meeting for their only series against one another during the 2022 season...This marks their first meeting since competing in the Triple-A Final Stretch Sept. 23-27, 2021 in Las Vegas with OKC winning the five-game set, 3-2, despite losing the final two games of the series. It was OKC's first series win against Las Vegas since 2015...The Aviators won the 2021 season series, 7-4, as they won a six-game series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, 5-1, in August...Anthony Bemboom had a team-best 12 hits in the 2021 season series while Matt Davidson - currently playing for the Aviators - racked up a team-leading 13 RBI, including four homers...The teams' offenses were almost identical throughout the season series, with OKC edging Las Vegas in hits, 107-106, and the Aviators edging OKC in runs, 66-65. The Aviators hit 17 homers, while the Dodgers hit 14...Since the start of the 2021 season, the road team is 10-5 over the last 15 games between the clubs...Going back to 2018, Las Vegas is 9-3 over the last 12 games at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, and going back to 2016, Las Vegas is 12-5 over the last 17 games in Bricktown. OKC has notched back-to-back home wins against Las Vegas for the first time since June 16-17, 2018. They have not won three straight against Las Vegas at home or on the road since 2015.

Dinger Details: The Dodgers hit four home runs Thursday night for their highest single-game home run total since May 12 in Round Rock when the team hit a season-high six homers and set a club record with six different players going deep in the same game. Thursday was the third time this season the Dodgers hit four or more homers in a game and the second time it's happened at home (April 10 vs. Albuquerque)...The Dodgers have now homered in seven straight games (13 HR) and their 13 home runs to open July are tied for the most in the PCL...James Outman connected on his first Triple-A home run in the first inning Thursday, hitting a three-run shot out to right field. He had hit 16 homers with Double-A Tulsa prior to his promotion...Eddy Alvarez hit solo home runs in the fourth inning and sixth inning as a Dodgers player recorded a multi-homer game for a second straight night, joining Ryan Noda's performance on Wednesday...Jason Martin hit his team-leading 17th home run in the fifth inning...On the other hand, the Dodgers have tied their season high by not allowing a homer in three straight games. They have gone three straight without giving up a homer three previous times.

Offensive Remarks: The Dodgers' offense scored 11 runs last night, reaching double digits in back-to-back games for the sixth time this season and for the first time since June 16-17 in Reno. The Dodgers have tallied double-digit runs now 18 times this season...Prior to Wednesday, the Dodgers had been held to five runs or less in four straight games for only the third time this season, totaling 14 runs...The Dodgers scored four runs in the first inning each of the last two nights for their highest scoring innings since June 19 in Reno when they scored five runs in the first inning...The Dodgers rank second in all of Triple-A with 518 runs scored, 29 triples, 393 walks and a .366 OBP, while their .461 SLG and .827 OPS are both third.

More Than Steady Eddy: Eddy Alvarez went 4-for-5 last night with two home runs and five RBI in first game back with OKC since June 2 after a stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers (14 games). His four hits and five RBI were both season-high marks and his highest totals since he finished with four hits and five RBI July 13, 2021 during a rehab game with Single-A Jupiter in the Marlins organization...He recorded the second multi-homer game of his career and first since Aug. 23, 2014 with Single-A Kannapolis.

Clearance at JMart: Jason Martin hit his sixth homer in the last nine games and seventh homer in his last 11 games, pacing all of Triple-A in home runs during the span and tying for the most in the Minors since June 25. His 17 total home runs this season lead the Dodgers and are tied for third-most in the PCL. Of his 73 total hits this season, 38 have gone for extra bases - second-most in the PCL...Martin has now hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, batting .333 (13x42). For the season, his 149 total bases rank third in the league, his five triples and 54 runs scored are tied for third, while his 57 RBI, .598 SLG and .976 OPS rank fourth in the league.

Beast Node: Ryan Noda was held without a hit last night to snap a five-game hitting streak, but he drew two walks and scored a run. On Wednesday, Noda went 3-for-4 with a triple, two home runs, three runs scored, a walk and a career-high seven RBI as he reached base four times. His seven RBI were the most by an OKC player this season and the most by an OKC player in a single game since Steven Souza Jr. (7 RBI) and Luke Raley (9 RBI) combined for 16 RBI May 30, 2021 in El Paso during a 20-9 win...Noda is currently tied with Sugar Land's David Hensley for the league lead in walks at 47.

The Future is Now: Yesterday, Miguel Vargas was named to the annual MLB All-Star Futures Game. This year's contest will take place Saturday, July 16 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, and Vargas will be joined by fellow Dodgers prospects pitcher Bobby Miller (Double-A Tulsa) and catcher Diego Cartaya (High-A Great Lakes) on the National League roster...Vargas added to his league-leading totals with a hit and run scored last night, as he leads the PCL with 93 hits and 68 runs scored this season. His 158 total bases are second-most in the PCL, while his 59 RBI are third-most in the league, his 18 doubles are tied for fourth, his 35 extra-base hits are tied for fifth and his 42 walks are sixth...Vargas has hit safely in 17 of his last 19 games, batting .346 (27x78) with three homers, seven doubles, 15 RBI, eight walks and 15 runs scored.

Drew Point: Drew Avans doubled and scored a run Thursday as he extended his season-best on-base streak to 22 games. The on-base streak is the longest by an OKC player this season and the team's longest since Gavin Lux reached base in 37 consecutive games during the 2019 season. It's also the second-longest active streak in the PCL...Avans has now hit safely in 18 of his last 22 games, batting .298 (25x84)...He's reached base safely in 36 of his last 37 games.

RacKs on RacKs on RacKs: The Dodgers pitching staff recorded 14 strikeouts Thursday, hitting the mark for a fourth straight game. OKC pitchers have now racked up 58 strikeouts over the last four games with at least 14 K's in each game. Prior to Monday, the team had only registered 14 strikeouts just once in a nine-inning game this season and not since April 22 at Sacramento...However, when the Aviators have not struck out this series, they are 41-for-85 (.482).

Around the Horn: Michael Busch went 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and scored two runs Thursday, tying his season-high mark with three hits...OKC seeks a third straight win for the first time since a four-game winning streak June 15-18 in Reno...Tomás Telis tied his season high with three hits Wednesday night, collecting singles in each of his first three at-bats. He's reached base six times over the last two games, with four hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. The catcher has hit safely in five of his last six games, going 9-for-20 with five walks...OKC allowed two runs Thursday night, holding an opponent to fewer than seven runs for the first time in seven games...The Dodgers are in the midst of a stretch of 15 straight games against West Division foes. OKC is 13-12 against the West Division this season, including 6-7 at home, and the Dodgers are 14-23 at home against West Division opponents over the last two seasons...Last night snapped a streak of 13 straight games in which the opponent scored in the first or second inning. Over the 13-game stretch, the Dodgers allowed 34 total runs over the first two innings (26 innings).
