Colorado Rapids News Release

Colorado Rapids midfielder José Mari was back in training earlier today (pictured above left), having been a late withdrawal from the team to face Real Salt Lake last Saturday, due to flu-like symptoms.

The 26-year-old was replaced in the starting line-up by Nathan Sturgis, as the Rapids fell 2-1 at their Rocky Mountain Cup rivals. But, when the team returned to training on Tuesday, José Mari was actively involved.

He has started all seven of his appearances, scoring two goals. The four games he has missed this season have all been for different reasons - suspension (Sporting KC), injury (San Jose at home), rested (San Jose away) and illness (Real Salt Lake.
