Receiver Kamar Jorden has been voted one of the Canadian Football League's players of the week for his performance in the Stamps' 27-18 victory over the BC Lions in Week 8.

Jorden had five receptions for 185 yards and a touchdown to help the first-place Stamps improve to 7-0 on the season. The yardage total is the highest for any CFL receiver so far this season.

Jorden's first catch of the contest was a 53-yard touchdown at the midway point of the first quarter that put the Stamps ahead to stay. The sixth-year receiver out of Bowling Green State University also had a 62-yard catch and four of his five receptions on the night allowed Calgary to convert on second down. Jorden racked up a total of 67 yards after the catch.

For the season, Jorden leads the Stamps with 37 receptions for 580 yards. He has four touchdowns and leads the CFL with seven catches of at least 30 yards.

Jorden is the third Stamps played to be recognized by the CFL's weekly awards program:

Week 2: Bo Levi Mitchell

Week 5: Micah Johnson

Week 8: Kamar Jorden
