Country Star Tebey and Rock & Rollers Monster Truck to Headline Biggest WeatherTech Football Day in Hamilton Ever

The highly anticipated WeatherTech Football Day in Hamilton is officially back for a third consecutive season on Monday, September 3, set to be the biggest one-day event in the history of Tim Hortons Field.

The day begins at 12 noon with a free admission CJFL game, when the Hamilton Hurricanes host the GTA Grizzlies in the first game of the WeatherTech Football Day in Hamilton double header. The Hurricanes look to continue their winning ways at Tim Hortons Field in a rematch of last year's exciting rivalry game.

At the conclusion of the Hurricanes game, a free admission concert presented by Supercrawl, with support from the Canadian Country Music Association, headlined by Canadian country star Tebey kicks off in the South Plaza at Tim Hortons Field. Joining Tebey is special guests Kira Isabella, The Redhill Valleys and Jess & Tay.

The day will culminate in primetime when the Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts renew the oldest rivalry in professional sports, squaring off in the Labour Day Classic game at 6:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats at halftime to enjoy an energetic performance by Hamilton rock band Monster Truck, hitting the stage in the Coors Light Patio underneath the Tim Hortons Field videoboard. The Coors Light Patio is a general admission social viewing area and accessible to anyone who has a game ticket.

Throughout the day, the CFL on TSN panel will broadcast live from Tim Hortons Field. The CFL on TSN Mark's Labour Day Weekend broadcast from the South Plaza will include pregame, halftime and between game coverage for both Labour Day CFL games from Calgary and Hamilton.

The free admission concert and Labour Day Classic halftime show kicks off a busy music month in the City of Hamilton, with the Canadian Country Music Awards, hosted by Shania Twain, set for Sunday, September 9 at FirstOntario Centre and Supercrawl weekend, taking over downtown Hamilton from September 13-16.

Living and working out of Nashville, Tennessee, Burlington native, Tebey is a country music singer and multi-genre songwriter with six Top 10 singles. Tebey twice achieved the most played Canadian country song of the year: "Somewhere in the Country" (2013) and his version of "Wake Me Up" (2014), also a Gold single. He has four albums under his belt, including his latest EP "Love A Girl" (released April 27) which features his red-hot single "Denim on Denim" (his latest Top 5 single) and the fan favourite, "Who's Gonna Love You". Tebey is also a studio talent, and has been named Producer of the Year three times at various Canadian award ceremonies. Kira Isabella has a long history with the Canadian Country Music Awards, having been named 2012 CCMA Rising Star and 2013 CCMA Female Artist of the Year, as well as being nominated for the 2017 CCMA Video of the Year for "That's When You Know". The awards and distinctions don't stop there: Named 2013 and 2014 CMAO Female Artist of the Year, Kira went on to be nominated for a 2016 JUNO Award for Country Album of the Year. SPIN Magazine named "Quarterback" the top country song of 2014. Kira has scored three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, and landed seven consecutive Top 20 Country Singles at radio. Her 2015 album Caffeine & Big Dreams debuted at #1 Canada Country and featured two Top 10 singles. Her latest single, "Little Girl", recently entered the Top 15 on the Canadian Country Music Charts.

The Redhill Valleys are a four piece alt-country and roots rock band that consists of guitarists Tim Allard, Danielle Beaudin, bassist Chelsea McWilliams and drummer Matt Soliveri. Last summer, they were named runners-up at the 2017 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artists Showcase and have since gained a lot of traction and fans in the Canadian Country music scene. Following an East Coast tour, the band was chosen as the CMAO Artist of the Month last October, and also awarded as finalists in the 2017 Canada's Walk of Fame Emerging Artists Program. Their influences come from iconic artists such as Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, Tom Petty and The Band, while forging a musical path all their own. Their unapologetic stage presence and grit-infused harmonies are putting The Redhill Valleys on the Canadian Country Music map as a band you don't want to miss.

Jess and Tay is a country pop outfit fronted by 20-year-old Hamiltonian Jessie Bower and 21-year-old Pickering native Taylor Adams. Both got their musical start at early ages: Adams began singing lessons around age five, while Bower started playing guitar around age 10. The two met as roommates and classmates at Humber College, where they're both enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program. The pair had previously performed as soloists but formed a country duo shortly after meeting, going on to become finalists at Boots and Hearts' 2016 Emerging Artist competition. Since that time, they've added a rhythm section (Andrew and Brant) and now perform as a full-fledged band, having played venues and festivals across Ontario.
