Jordan Chong Re-signs for Third Season With the Ice Flyers

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The 2013 President Cup champions, Pensacola Ice Flyers, have re-signed forward Jordan Chong for his third straight campaign. Chong has put up 104 points in 112 professional games and has been the team's second leading scorer for both of his seasons in Pensacola.

New Ice Flyers' Head Coach Rod Aldoff values Chong's leadership and professionalism as he stated, "I'm going to lean on him as a leader on and off the ice. He's a true professional in every sense and I know his ambition is to be the best player he can be every day and move up in the pro ranks, and it's my ambition to help him with that process."

Chong is a 27-year-old native of North Vancouver, British Columbia and last season he put up 50 points (13 goals, 37 assists) in 56 regular season games and managing a +6 plus/minus rating. He was a key contributor on special teams with 12 power play points (4 goals, 8 assists) and 4 shorthanded points (3 goals, 1 assist). In seven playoff games he had 2 assists and a +4 rating.

Aldoff will look to Chong to continue his on-ice production, "I'm very excited to get Jordan back. I'm expecting Jordan to continue his success at this level for this season."

Over the past two seasons with the Ice Flyers, Chong has played in all 112 regular season games and put up 104 points (34 goals, 70 assists), 30 penalty minutes, and a +9 plus/minus rating. He was also named Co-Rookie of the Year for the 2011-12 season.
