Ice Bears Promote Austin Gantz to Promotions Director

KNOXVILLE, TN (August 1, 2013) - The Knoxville Ice Bears proudly announce the promotion of Austin Gantz as team's Director of Promotions and Game Operations.
Over the past year, Gantz has become an established professional who brings a tireless work ethic and superior customer service skills to the organization. He joined the Ice Bears last May to fulfill his final internship requirements to complete his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. On August 13, 2012 Gantz was hired full time in a newly created position as Ticket and Corporate Sales Manager.
"My first full season with the Ice Bears has been a thrilling ride and during that time, I have absorbed so many aspects about the organization. I am ecstatic with the opportunity to build upon the foundation my predecessor Nathan fostered and look forward to bringing my energy and out of the box thinking to fans of the Ice Bears," said Gantz.
Since arriving in Knoxville in May 2012, Gantz has made the transition from Gainesville to Knoxville . He spends his free time playing baseball in a local league and exploring all East Tennessee has offer.
"Austin has consistently exceeded expectations since joining us as an intern last May. He is the ideal fit as our promotions director, he is a highly organized professional that brings an incredible work ethic and energy to the Ice Bears every day. We look for him to take our promotions department to the next level with fresh ideas and excitement for our fans," said President and General Manager Mike Murray.
Gantz lives in West Knoxville with his girlfriend Lauren and their dog Annie.
The Knoxville Ice Bears will be sponsoring the Third Annual Adopt a Golden Charity Golf Classic at Gettysvue Golf and Country Club. The event will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013.
