Indiana Mad Ants News Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Indiana Mad Ants, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, have made a roster change as Jordan Bell has left the team via buyout to pursue an international opportunity.
Bell played his final game with the Mad Ants in March 8's win at Raptors 905, where he tied for the second best single game shooting percentage, with a minimum of 10 attempts, in franchise history going 10-of-11 from the field (90.9).
"JB embodies our 'Embrace the Grind' mentality and has been a foundational piece of our team's success so far this season. His extremely unselfish play, veteran leadership in the locker room, intensity on the court, commitment to culture, and his willingness to sacrifice for the betterment of the group epitomizes being a professional," said Mad Ants General Manager Chris Taylor.
"We appreciate everything he has done for our franchise and the knowledge he shared along the way. While his impact is already missed, we wish him all the best in his next opportunity. We know he will continue making us proud, no matter what jersey he is wearing."
Bell returned to the Mad Ants this season after finishing the 2021-22 season with the organization.
At the time of his exit, Bell is the franchise's all-time leader in blocks in a career (155) and blocks in a season (104 in 2023-24). Bell also holds more games with 5 or more blocks (8) than anyone else in franchise history, ranks 12th in total double doubles (18) and is tied for second in franchise triple doubles (2).
During the 2023-2024 NBA G League Regular Season, Bell ranked 3rd in the league in field goal percentage (63.9) and 3rd in the league in blocks per game (2.8).
