Jonathan Isaac Returns In Victory Over Swarm

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeat the Greensboro Swarm 117-100 on Saturday at the George Jenkins Arena.
The first quarter was back and forth as neither team could gain a large lead. After a made shot by Swarm guard James Bouknight Greensboro had built a 10-point lead of 27-17 with 2:34 remaining. The Magic had gone on a seven-to-zero run cutting the lead to just four, the Swarm led the Magic 31-28 at the end of the first.
The second quarter was a closely fought battle with three lead changes. The Magic had gained their first lead of the game since the opening bucket 41-40 with 7:26 on the clock. Magic guard Joel Ayayi had 13 second-quarter points leading all scorers at the half with 15. The Swarm ended the quarter on a seven-to-zero run giving Greensboro the lead 56-53 at the end of the half.
The Swam opened the quarter strong continuing their momentum with a six-to-zero run. Magic forward Aleem Ford knocked down two three-point shots to stop the bleeding and helped the Magic secure a 10-0 run to reclaim the lead 66-64 at the 7:05 mark. The Magic outscored the Swarm 34-17 in the third quarter with a team effort and great performance by Magic forward Jonathan Isaac catching five rebounds in the quarter helping the Magic gain a large lead of 87-73 at the end of the third.
The Magic put their foot on the gas and never looked back. Lakeland got a 20-point lead early in the fourth quarter. The two-way Magic guard Kevon Harris had an impressive 15-point fourth quarter. The Magic would end up winning the game 117-100. "I'm grateful, being able to get on the court is a privilege. I'm grateful for the Magic for believing in me, Lakeland for letting me come to play here, and I'm grateful for God bringing me back to where I am now. I won't take any of this for granted," Isaac said.
Jonathan Isaac finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks. Kevon Harris had 24 points and six assists.
Jalen Crutcher finished with 20 points and six assists for the Swarm.
The Lakeland Magic (5-3) will face the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Tuesday, January 17 at the Sanford Pentagon at 7:30 PM on ESPN+
