Kalamazoo Kings News Release
Baseball, music and fireworks...the perfect way to spend the Fourth of July! The Kalamazoo Kings will host their third annual Fourth of July Extravaganza at Homer Stryker Field on Friday, July 4, 2003. The night will begin at 5:05 p.m. as the Kings take on the Richmond Roosters in what promises to be a fun-filled evening.
Immediately after the game, the Kings invite fans to stay at the ballpark for a spectacular post-game entertainment show. Kids can come onto the field to run the bases and get autographs from their favorite Kings players. Make sure to bring your blankets to sit on the grass in right field and enjoy great music from local act "2 P's and a Blonde". Once darkness falls, the Kings and Mad Bomber will present their biggest and best fireworks display yet, sponsored by Meijer.
Tickets for the game are $4 for general admission, $6 for box seats and seniors 55 and older receive $1 off of these ticket prices. Children 3 and under are free. Tickets for July 4th are still available, but hurry because they are going fast. Tickets can be purchased at the Kings ticket office or by calling the Kings front office at 388-8326 Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Homer Stryker Field is located at 251 Mills St. in Kalamazoo.
