
Johnson's Strong Outing Lifts Boulders to Series Win

Garrett Johnson pitched 7.0 shutout innings to back the Boulders in Rockland's 3-0 win over the Jackals at Yogi Berra Stadium on Sunday to win the home-and-away series three games to one. Johnson gave up four hits and no walks while striking out nine.
Relief pitching backed the effort as well, as Nick Kennedy and Kyle Hansen combined for 2.0 innings of no-hit, shutout work, giving up two walks and striking out one.
Conrad Gregor drove in the Boulders' first two runs of the game with a two-run home run in the top of the third to give Rockland a 2-0 lead.
Conor Bierfeldt hit an RBI single in the third to bring in Mikael Mogues, putting the Boulders up 3-0.
Rockland continues its road trip with a three-game series at the Québec Capitals beginning Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Boulders return home on Friday, August 3 to face the Trois-Rivi?res Aigles at 6:30 p.m.
