
Johnson Receives One Game Suspension

Spokane Chief forward Tyler Johnson has received a one game suspension from the WHL after being issued a major penalty for kneeing and a game misconduct in Tuesday night's Western Conference Semifinal game six versus the Tri-City Americans. Johnson will miss game one of the Western Conference Finals in Portland on Friday night.
Johnson received the penalty 18:31 into the first period. Spokane won the game 5-4 in overtime and the series, 4-2. The 20-year-old has five goals and nine points in nine playoff games after scoring 115 points in the regular season.
He will return to the lineup for game two on Sunday night in Portland. Friday night's game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 while the puck will drop on Sunday at 5:00. The series will then shift to Spokane for games three and four on Wednesday, April 27th and Friday, April 29th.
