Chiefs Face Portland in Western Conference Finals

After winning their Western Conference Semifinals in six games the Spokane Chiefs have advanced to play the Portland Winterhawks in the Western Conference Championship Series. Games one and two will be played in Portland's Rose Garden this weekend before the series shift to Spokane for games three and four on Wednesday, April 27th and Friday, April 29th.
Tickets for games three and four will go on sale on Wednesday, April 20th at 9:00 AM at the Chiefs ticket office and at all TicketsWest locations. Tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling (509) 535-PUCK (7825), (800) 325-SEAT (7328) or by logging onto www.ticketswest.com.
The Chiefs and Winterhawks will open the series on Friday, April 22nd at 7:00. Game two will be played on Sunday, April 24th at 5:00.
It will be the seventh trip to the Conference Finals in franchise history and the ninth time the Chiefs and Winterhawks have met in the postseason. Portland won a seven game series in the first round last year marking the fifth time the two have gone the distance. Four of the last five playoff series against each other have gone to a seventh game. Spokane and Portland have played in two other Conference Finals, 1998 and 2001, both won by the Winterhawks.
Spokane went 5-3-1-0 in their nine game regular season series with Portland. The Winterhawks finished with 103 points, one more than the Chiefs as they claimed the U.S. Division title.
