KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 21, 2012) -- Lexington's Zach Johnson drove in a career-high five runs on a pair of doubles to propel the Legends past Kannapolis, 7-1, on Saturday night in front of 4,085 at CMC- NorthEast Stadium. The Intimidators dropped their fifth straight game, falling to 6-10 on the season.

Johnson drove in three runs in the first inning on a bases-clearing double that put Lexington on the board first and added a two-run double in the fifth inning to help the Legends (7-10) pull away.

Legends starter Mike Foltynewicz (3-1) allowed one run on four hits over six innings to earn the win. Kannapolis starter Brandon Parrent (0-1) lasted two innings, allowing five runs on four hits with three walks and a strikeout in a losing effort. Steve McCray worked five innings, allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts, and Bryan Blough tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the Intimidators.

Kannapolis scored its lone run when Mark Haddow singled up the middle with two outs in the bottom of the second inning, and Keenyn Walker doubled off the wall in left-center field to cash Haddow from first.
