New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release


Manchester, NH- Right-handed relief pitcher John Ogiltree has been released from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. He appeared in 2 games with the Fisher Cats this season, throwing 2 total innings without allowing a run. He was on the disabled list with a leg contusion at the time of his release. It was his second stint on the disabled list with a leg contusion this season as he was also on the DL April 14 through April 26.

The 26-year-old Ogiltree was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Blue Jays in 2001. Born in Toronto, Ogiltree still calls Canada home as he lives in Mississauga, Ontario. Ogiltree was part of the 2004 Eastern League Champion Fisher Cats, appearing in 45 games, going 2-4 with a 2.64 ERA. He pitched in 165 games over 5 seasons in the Toronto organization. The submariner was also part of the Canadian Olympic team in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
