
Joey Sides Recalled to IceCaps

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets & the AHL's St. John's IceCaps, announced today that forward Joey Sides has been recalled to the IceCaps' roster. Sides has tallied 18 points (9-9-18) in 18 games with the Eagles this season, and is tied for 4th on the team in points (behind the league's top three scorers). Sides is also tied for 1st in the ECHL in plus/minus ranking (+13).
Sides joined the Eagles' roster midway through the 2011-12 season and recorded 29 points (15-14-29) in as many games, giving him 47 points through 48 games with the team. He was called-up to the IceCaps following the end of Colorado's season last year, was signed to an AHL contract in the offseason and attended camp with the IceCaps before being re-assigned to the Eagles to start the season. The Sun Valley, Idaho native has never played a game at the AHL level.
