June 19, 2015 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Rafters will once again don alternate jerseys during tonight's game against the Battle Creek Bombers. With it being Superhero Night at Witter Field, the players will be wearing their own superhero uniforms. A silent auction will accompany the event tonight. Starting today, you can submit an online bid (starting at $50) for as many jerseys as you'd like. Bidding will continue during the game on June 19 during which fans will have the chance to match and continue to bid in-person. The auction will end with the last out in the bottom of the 7th inning and winners will be announced in the 8th inning. Winners do not need not to be in attendance, but it is recommended. ($5 will be added for shipped orders). Proceeds from the auction will go to the Jockey Being Family organization. They will also have two tables set up at the front gates, selling raffle tickets and teddy bears to benefit the organization.
