Peoria Rivermen News Release
PEORIA, Ill. (February 2, 2009) - The Peoria Rivermen have announced that rising country music star Jimmy Wayne will perform at Carver Arena on March 27. The concert, presented by U.S. Army, will take place immediately following the Rivermen game against the Milwaukee Admirals that begins at 7:00 p.m.
One ticket will be good for both the hockey game and the concert with prices starting at $20 for upper bowl tickets. Lower bowl tickets can be purchased for $25. For $37 fans can purchase a V.I.P. Pass (limited availability) that will give them exclusive access to ice-level standing-room during the concert in addition to their lower bowl seat for the game.
Wayne is currently on tour after releasing the album "Do You Believe Me Now" in August 2008. The title track spent three weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's county chart. "I Will" has spent 16 weeks on the chart and is currently at No. 23. In January, Wayne announced that he will be touring with Brad Paisley beginning on June 5.
Tickets for all Rivermen home games can be purchased at the Peoria Civic Center box office, by phone at (309) 676-1040 or online through www.rivermen.net/tickets.
