BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster. INF Ji-Man Choi has been activated from the suspended list and transferred to Jackson from Triple-A Tacoma. In a corresponding move, INF Mickey Wiswall has been transferred to the Rookie Pulaski roster. The moves are made prior to this morning's 11:30 a.m. series finale at Birmingham. Choi is batting fourth and will wear jersey #20 today.

Choi, 23, in 10 games for the Rainiers in 2014 Choi was batting .394 (13x33) with 2 doubles, a home run and 5 RBI in 10 games. He was suspended for 50 games for a violation of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program on April 17th.
In 2013, Choi hit .295 (125x424) with 64 runs scored, 36 doubles, 6 triples, 18 home runs, 85 RBI and 63 walks in 122 games combined between A High Desert (4/4/-6/2), the Generals (6/3-8/18) and AAA Tacoma (8/19-9/2). He was one of 20 minor league players to record at least 60 extra-base hits. He recorded a career-high 21-game hitting streak from April 27-May 22, 3rd-longest in the California League (.422/35x83, 20 R, 15 2B, 3B, 5 HR, 26 RBI, 13 BB).
Choi was promoted to Jackson on June 4 and appeared in only 61 games with the Generals, but finished T-2nd on the team with 9 home runs, including a team-high 2 grand slams (6/29 vs. Birmingham and 7/31 vs. Huntsville).
Choi was signed by Seattle as a non-drafted free agent, July 2, 2009 and is from Incheon, South Korea.
Wiswall, 25, was batting .223 (33x148) with 4 doubles, a team-leading 5 home runs and 16 RBIs. Wiswall missed all of last season due to a torn hamstring.
Wiswall was drafted by the Mariners in the 7th round of the 2010 draft out of Boston College. Wiswall resides in Stoneham, MA
