Jets Recall Armia; Pavelec Placed on IR

The Winnipeg Jets, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled forward Joel Armia from the Moose. The Winnipeg Jets also announced they have placed goaltender Ondrej Pavelec on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

Armia, 22, has played in 14 games this season with the Manitoba Moose collecting six points (3G, 3A) and 16 penalty minutes. Armia has played one NHL game with Buffalo during the 2014-15 season. He was originally drafted by the Sabres in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft. He was acquired by Winnipeg from Buffalo along with Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Brendan Lemieux and a first-round selection at the 2015 NHL Draft (Jack Roslovic) in exchange for Zach Bogosian, Evander Kane and Jason Kasdorf on February 11, 2015.
