Arkansas RiverBlades News Release

The first-ever Arkansas RiverBlades jersey auction was a huge success Monday, as the special "St. Patrick's Day" jerseys generated a total of $20,300, with a portion of the proceeds to go to the Central Arkansas Radiation Treatment Institute (CARTI).

The highest bid of the night was placed for Buddy Smith's #11 jersey, which raised $4,700.

The RiverBlades will present a check to CARTI during "CARTI Night" with the Arkansas Twisters on April 25th.

"Arkansas RiverBlades fans are the GREATEST," said Max Hooper, Senior Vice President of Equity Broadcasting. "They care deeply about their sport and are always ready to help others. The jersey auction that benefited CARTI is just one more example of hockey¹s impact in Arkansas."

The RiverBlades return to the ice this weekend, hosting the Pensacola Ice Pilots in a pair of key divisional games this Friday and Saturday. For more information, call the Blades' office at 975-2327.
