SHREVEPORT, LA -

Jason Jennings threw a three-hit shutout on Friday night, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs completed a four-game sweep of the Shreveport-Bossier Captains at Fair Grounds Field, beating the defending champions 4-0 to finish their road schedule at a league-best 31-19.

Jennings (10-2) allowed two baseruners in an inning only once, walked three and struck out eight in a masterful performance to join teammates Josh Rainwater and John Brownell as 10-game winners.

After wasting a leadoff single in the first, the AirHogs (62-35) got on the board in the second, as Joey Gomes knocked in Cesar Nicolas with a single to right against Alex Kaminsky (7-3). Nicolas drove in the AirHogs' next two runs, with singles in the third and sixth, before John Alonso capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Kaminsky pitched a complete game on 137 pitches for the Captains (44-52), scattering 11 hits, but it was not enough to come close to beating Jennings on this night.

The righty induced 11 ground balls, had four three-batter innings, and did not allow a runner to reach third base in his first complete game of the season. The one time he faced two on was after a leadoff double and one-out walk in the seventh, but Joe Urtuzuastegui grounded the first pitch he saw into a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.
