HUNTSVILLE, AL - Tennessee Valley Vipers offensive wide receiver/kick returner, Terrence Jefferson, has been named the U.S. Army Ironman of the Week.

"I felt like this was a long-time coming," Jefferson said. "I feel so blessed to be able to help contribute to the team and the organization."

Jefferson was making his first start of the season at offensive specialist. He caught six passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns, rushed one time for one yard and a touchdown and returned four kickoffs for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Both kickoff returns came from 57 yards in the first half and Macon did not kick a ball deep the entire second half.

"Terrence used the opportunity to play to the fullest," Vipers head coach, Chris Williams said. "He's an awesome athlete who can make some big plays in this league."

The former Midwestern State receiver is 7th in af2 in kickoff return average at 21.6 and leads the league in kickoff returns for touchdowns with two. He has 10 receptions on the year for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

The Vipers will travel to Little Rock this weekend to battle the Arkansas Twisters before returning home on May 6 to take on the Florida Firecats.
