Bakersfield - Bakersfield Blitz fullback/linebacker, Nick Onaindia and newcomer, J.J. Johnson will be a guest on tonight's weekly radio program, "The Indoor War Report with Head Coach Gary Compton." The live broadcast will be on KGEO AM 1230 from Tailgater's Sports Bar and Grill, 900 Truxtun Ave, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Nick Onaindia (6-3, 245, Utah) is in his fourth season with the Blitz. Born and raised in Bakersfield, Nick attended West High School and Bakersfield College. Now a teacher at West High, Nick has done great things during his years with the Blitz. Last season, Nick was af2's US Army Ironman of the Week and 2nd team All Western Conference.

J.J. Johnson (6-3, 260, Kansas) is entering his first season with the Blitz. As a veteran, his years of experience show he is a good choice. Before coming to the team, Johnson started the 2006 season with the Macon Knights. Previous years were spent playing for the CFL Winnipeg Bluebombers and the AFL San Jose Sabercats. "As a veteran from the AFL, he brings great leadership to the team." Coach Compton said.

Currently, the Blitz are 2-1 as they enter their fifth week of the season. The Blitz will continue their run for the championship on Saturday, April 29 when they face the Stockton Lightning at Stockton. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stockton Arena.

Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are still on sale, as well as single game tickets. Ticket plans start at the prorated price of $70 and single game tickets are as low as $10 in the lower bowl. Tickets will be available at the Rabobank Arena box office and any Ticketmaster location.
