
Vipers CJ Johnson Named AFL's Co-Nifty Playmaker of the Week

Alabama wide receiver CJ Johnson and Spokane's Huey Whittaker have been selected as Co-Nifty Playmakers of the Week by the AFL. Johnson attacked the Predators defense early with a 22-yard touchdown reception to put the first points on the board during the 45-34 loss Friday night in Orlando. Johnson collected 18 receptions for 205 yards and one touchdown, including a 38-yard catch. Plus four kickoff returns for 82 yards.
The Vipers (6-7) return home Saturday night to face the Tulsa Talons at the Von Braun Center. Kickoff is set for 7:30 and free ticket vouchers are available at Landers McLarty Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Subaru on Highway 72 west.
