
Jeff Glas is Back

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations John Gregory has announced that the team has reached agreement with Kicker Jeff Glas for the 2010 season. The 2010 season will be Glas' third with the Iowa Barnstormers. The Grand Forks, ND native is coming off a career best season, as he was named to the all af2 team in 2009.
Glas (5-11, 195) finished the 2009 season third on the Barnstormers in scoring with 157 points. His 21 Field Goals made on 39 attempts were a league best, while he also chipped in 94 PAT's. He also was successful on 4 Field Goals of more than 50 yards, including a league record 57 yard attempt. Glas played his college ball at the University of North Dakota, where he still holds the All-Time Division II record for career points by a kicker with 420.
"There's no doubt that Jeff is a huge contributor to the success of our team," said Gregory. "His leg strength and accuracy are an asset to our club and I'm thrilled to have him back for another season".
