The Dunedin Blue Jays used a four-run first and a four-run fourth to defeat the Dodgers 8-1 Sunday afternoon at Knology Park. Andy LaRoche had a double and scored a run on a Matt Kemp sacrifice fly, but that was the only offense Vero Beach could muster. Chuck Tiffany took the loss, but retired the last 11 batters he faced and struck out seven Blue Jays in five innings. The Dodgers look to even the series Monday night at 7:00 PM.
Dunedin got to Tiffany early. Jayce Tingler led off the first with a double. One out later, Adam Lind was hit by a pitch. Eric Arnold homered to make it 3-0 and Tim Whittaker added an RBI sinlge later in the inning.
Arnold led off the sixth inning with his second homer of the game and his fifth of the season. David Smith delivered an RBI double, Manny Mayorson and RBI single and another run scored on an error to make it 8-1.
