Jaxx-Braves rained out Monday night

PEARL. MISS (July 27, 2009) - The Diamond Jaxx game with the Mississippi Braves, scheduled for tonight at 7:05 has been cancelled due to rain and storms in Pearl, MS. The game will be made up as part of a double-header tomorrow night, with the first game beginning at 6:05. The second game will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The Braves and Diamond Jaxx are meeting for the third series in 2009, with the Jaxx holding a 9-7 game lead over the Braves. The Braves are riding a four game winning streak into the series, while the Jaxx have dropped their last five straight. The double-header on Wednesday will be the 10th that the Jaxx have played in this season and the third against the M-Braves. West Tenn is 5-12 in 7 inning games this season.

The pitching matchup in game one will feature for the Jaxx, RHP Luis Munoz (4-4, 4.31) and LHP Jose Ortegano (0-0, 0.00) will make his Double-A debut for the Braves. In game two, West Tenn sends RHP Dan Cortes (0-2, 9.64) to the bump, making his third Diamond Jaxx start. For the Braves, in game two, LHP Edgar Osuna (3-2, 3.86) takes the hill.
